Abstract:
This study selects the databases of the Chinese mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan websites of nine world-renowned pharmaceutical companies as the main source of the corpus, and analyses the different models of translation ethics between the Chinese mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan through detailed description, contrast and analysis. It is found that Mainland translators are more inclined to follow norm-based ethics and ethics of commitment while Hongkong and Taiwan translators are more for ethics of representation and ethics of service.This study also aims at deepening pharmaceutical translation research and standardizing pharmaceutical translation action.
