Abstract:
In view of the particular importance of information equivalence in interpreting practice and quality assessment, Chinese Interpreting Learners Corpus (CILC) attempts to draw on linguistic meta-function proposed by systemic functional linguistics (SFL) and highlight the interpreting contextual analysis so that linguistic information in interpreting can be tagged as follows:first, category-based tagging is based on ideational, interpersonal and textual information; second, level-based tagging is grouped differently with regard to information equivalence, one-to-one, one-to-multiple, multiple-to-one, etc.The aforesaid information tagging can be instrumental to quantitative evaluation of interpreting quality as well as the study of the relationship between interpreting strategies and interpreting efficiency.
