Abstract:
Psycholinguistic approach to formulaic sequences (FS) is a new trend in the studies of FS.It mainly focuses on the psychological reality of FS, trying to answer the question whether FS is stored and retrieved as a whole in mental lexicon. In order to find out empirical evidence for the FS theories, studies are conducted from four perspectives: reaction time (RT), eye-tracking, oral reproduction, and ERP.This paper attempts to make a survey of the studies on the processing of FS in the past few years.
