An Overview of Studies on English Translations of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature

Drawing on databases including CNKI,Dissertations and Theses Collections (DTC),ProQuest and MyiLibrary as well as catalogues of National Library of China,Peking University Library and Beijing Foreign Studies University Library,the paper gives an overview of researches on English translations of modern and contemporary Chinese literature published from Jan.2010 to Jan.2015.The publications are collected based on their research objects and analyzed in terms of their content,methods and approaches.Major problems are revealed while suggestions for future improvement are proposed.
