A Quantitative Assessment of Audiovisual Translation Abroad: Progress, Limitations and Implications

Speech recognition technology has been facilitating and promoting the research of Audiovisual Translation (AVT) quantitative assessment studies.Based on an analysis of relevant studies abroad, this paper finds that:1) translation product is the main object in AVT quantitative assessment studies; 2) error deduction is a prevalent method in quantitative assessment; 3) the quantitative assessment research tends to be diversified and communicative-function oriented.Moreover, the theoretical construction for AVT quantitative assessment, application studies on AVT quantitative assessment models will be the major issues in future studies.
