A Survey on Interdisciplinary Translation Studies with 66 Different Names

The research on translation theory has been strengthened and interdisciplinary translation studies with more than 60 different names have appeared in China since 1980s.Based on a CNKI research with the names as keywords, the author presents a critical review of their application and acceptability.It is found that only a few of them, such as eco-translatology and aesthetic studies of translation, have succeeded in the interdisciplinary research and the great majority of them have limited impact on translation practice and translation studies.
